Frankincense throughout history has been associated with spiritual protection and is known as the “holy anointing oil”. It has a very high vibration (hence its spiritual value). Used to treat every conceivable ill known to man, frankincense was valued more than gold during ancient times and only the very wealthy could afford it. Early records of Persians, Babylonians, Assyrians, Greeks, Romans, and Hebrews contain references to its religious, medicinal and perfumery use. It is mentioned at least twenty-two times in the Bible. In the Dead Sea Scrolls it is described as “the sweat of the gods fallen to earth”.
In the Syriac Book of Medicine frankincense is noted for the treatment of nose-bleeds, headaches, ailments of the eyes and ears, gout, pleurisy, palsy, diarrhea, ailments of the voice and lungs, coughing, diseases of the kidneys, liver, bladder and spleen. It has been used throughout the ages for all types of skin conditions as well as tumors. This oil may also help with allergies, cancer, pressure or “bedsores”, and high blood pressure. |
